Project promoters should receive adequate compensation and insurance cover from the various parties with whom it signs contracts, including the turbine supplier and the installation balance sheet provider, and require those parties to benefit from similar protection measures from their subcontractors and equipment suppliers, for the benefit of the project promoter. Relevant compensation may include general compensation for bodily injury, death and property damage resulting from the activities of the person liable for compensation; the exemption of the holder from the subcontractor`s pledge rights; compensation for taxes (with the exception of those payable by the developer); compensation for violations of the legislation in force; and compensation for claims of intellectual property infringement. Appropriate insurance policies may include general commercial liability, workers` compensation and employer liability, automotive, errors and omissions (for design and engineering services) and overall risk of the client (non-life insurance for the project). Such policies should, to the extent possible, designate the developer and its financing party as an additional insured and include declarations of waiver of the transfer of claims. The limitations of the policy vary depending on the nature of the work performed and the scope of the project. A project proponent should consult with an insurance or risk management specialist to ensure that appropriate types and levels of coverage are met. A. Workload. The volume of work should describe in detail the actual design, design and installation of the equipment as well as the contractor`s schedule obligations.
